Delta community issues 14-day ultimatum to Chevron

The people of Okoyitoru community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, have threatened to drag Chevron Nigeria Limited to court over its operations that had almost washed away the community landmass.

Okoyitoru, one of the host communities to Chevron’s Makaraba field, which currently produced 29,000 barrels of crude oil daily, is on the verge of being washed off due to years of oil production in the coastal community.

BOKO HARAM RELEASED 21 ABDUCTED CHIBOK GIRLS

The presidency on Thursday confirmed the release of 21 Chibok girls hitherto in the custody of their abductors, Boko Haram. The girls were among the 219 students stolen from their dormitory bed in Chibok community, Borno State on April 14, 2014.
